Patron Chef - Mark Aisthorpe

After working all around the country in high-end hotels many with 1 or 2 Michelin stars, Mark Aisthorpe decided it was time to open his own establishment in 2016. After a long search of many premises, he finally decided on The Bulls Head in Holymoorside, where he believes he could put his talents to use. Marks Menus are hyper-seasonal and have a supply chain that is from a limited geographic area. Relying on local forages and neighbouring farmers to supply the best possible produce we can buy. Situated in the heart of the Peak District the farm to table concept is ideal and is made use of. Our menus change daily depending on the quality of produce we can source. Mark prides himself on only using the best local produce to bring you a truly stunning experience in modern British cuisine. Mark appeared on BBC's Great British Menu in 2022 reaching the Regional Final aswell as been award 3 AA Rosettes for culinary experience.

Restaurant Manager - Amie Foster

Having several qualifications in Customer service, hospitality and team management Amie came to work for The Bulls Head in 2020 as our General Manager. Amie started her career, learning her trade over 12 years ago and has worked in some of the best hotels and restaurants within the area. Being born and bred in Chesterfield, she has a great understanding of the locality and has established excellent working relationships with suppliers and customers alike. When not working Amie enjoys spending time with her young daughter and socializing with friends and family.

Head Pastry Chef - Joel Stubbs

Joel has been with us for a number of years now and comes from previous experience of working in Italian Restaurants in Sheffield. Joel describes the steep learning curve of the role but thrives on the continuous professional development. Working in the kitchen alongside Mark he states he is always learning and loves working with the best local ingredients is a great experience.
